On the this wine & tapa tour you will visit some of the emblematic taverns/bars/vinotecas of Vigo´s Old Quarter. Your Food & Wine Guide will meet you at your hotel in the city centre or at your cruise ship on the Port of Vigo. An excellent option for those who would like a light lunch or dinner tasting various Galician fine wines and tapas.
We will stroll up from the Port through A Pedra Market where the Oyster ladies are lined up selling fresh raw oysters. We will make our 1st stop at a small tavern to try some home-made Ribeiro white wine severed from the Barrel in typical tazas (ceramic bowls), accompanied by a tapa of Mexillónes (Mussels) or Polbo (Octopus), etc... whichever is recommend that day.
Walking through the old streets of this port city we will make another wine & tapa stop at a restaurant/tavern which has some fine Albariño and Condado white wines of the D.O. Rias Baixas.
Then our last stop will be at a new Vinoteca bar/store with a wide selection of Viños Galegos (Galician Wines), here we will savor other varieties like Mencia reds and Godello whites, as well we will taste some of the delicious Queixos Galegos(Galician Cheeses) which are San Simón, Tetilla and Arzúa-Ulloa.
