Enjoy a culinary, food and wine short break in Barcelona. Learn how to prepare
signature Spanish dishes in a traditional cooking workshop. Then the next day an
excursion to the world renowned Penedes wine region for a Cava tasting &
vineyard tour.
Local and traditional cooking workshop in Barcelona
The
well-deserved reputation of the Spanish gastronomy ´shared either by
professionals or people who just enjoy the art of good eating- is in line with a
rising tendency to regard cuisine as a distinctive element of culture. People
traveling abroad are increasingly taking interest in gastronomy, since they
understand it is an identity sign of the country´s culture. Enjoy a half day
hands on cooking workshop, in direct contact with local cuisine in a warm,
cheerful, participative atmosphere. At the end of the session, you are invited
to enjoy a taste of the dishes prepared during the workshop.
Day Trip to Discover the Wines of Catalonia
Start with a short drive from Barcelona to El Penedes wine region. We arrive to
the Penedes wine country where we are joined by a resident wine maker for a
private tour of his fields and facilities, and most importantly a generous and
varied cava and wine tasting in his wine cellar.
Between
his explanations and your questions, youll learn all youve ever wanted to know
about Spanish (Catalan) wine and cava elaboration methods of the past and
present. In the wine cellar among the oak barrels and aging bottles of product,
youll enjoy a generous tasting of wines and reserve cavas, accompanied by a
wonderful catered lunch or dinner of Catalan cuisine. Prior to returning to
Barcelona, guests will have the opportunity to personally make a bottle of cava
in the old artisan fashion to take home with them. After return to Barcelona.
