Pilgrims' Way to Santiago - Camino de Santiago Tours 2010

2010 marks the Holy Xacobeo Year in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia. Whenever St James's day (25th July) falls on a Sunday, the cathedral announces it a Holy or Jubilee Year.

We have added some new tours alongside our existing ones to follow along the Ancient Ways of Saint James. For example... you can do it walking the most scenic portions with or without baggage transfers starting from Bilbao, or even just the last 100 kms/62 mi. Want to get there a bit faster? Then
why not join a small group bike tour along the Camino. If joining a group is not for you we have a self-guided bike tour version. For horse-riding lovers this is another way you can do the pilgrimage trail either along the French or Portuguese route. Let the wind take you to Santiago in style on our private or small group sailing journey up the Rias Baixas coast following the route which reproduces the "Translatio" of the Apostle’s body to the final resting place of Santiago de Compostela.

If you just want a glimpse of Santiago's sites and the area of Galicia without having to sweat, then you could join a
scheduled group coach tour which departure from Madrid. Stuck on time you could just take a short break city stay in Santiago and have a few guided tours around the countryside.

In Galicia there is much more to see after doing the camino and visiting Santiago. Try a
day tour over to Finisterre Land's End, or down the Rias Baixas coast to sample the fine Albariño white wines and seafood this region is famed for. If you have more days to spare we have a fabulous week-long food and wine experience of Galicia. Portugal is only a stone throw away from Southern Galicia and you could explore the green northern region down to Porto and taste the world-renown Port Wines.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for then drop us a line, because apart from all the ready-made tours we can customize a trip just for you step by step with one of our specialist!
