On this private day excursion visitors will be able to sample a
small taste of what this region has to offer. The tour departure for Lisbon, but
can also start from other city and villages in Lisbon upon request.
From the hidden corners and high walled gardens of the old medina area to the
gothic, Renaissance and Baroque features the Óbidos is an extensive work of art
carved, destroyed and rebuilt throughout the centuries. The preserved medieval
town of Óbidos lying 80 km north of Lisbon is without doubt one of Portugal's
most classic walled settlements. When strolling along the maze of narrow cobbled
streets of Óbidos, at each step, one comes upon vestiges of different
civilizations. Besides its material heritage of the past, Óbidos, a melting pot
of historical tradition is still today one of the main jewels of the country.
After lunch, head to a traditional Óbidos vineyard to taste the most famous
Portuguese’s espumantes (Portuguese Champagne), The suave and temperate climate
for the proximity of the sea, the fertility and nature of the lands propitiates
the production of wines well with personalities marked. The Espumantes there
produced, have a quality that has been reaching mentions of the most honourable
in the country and abroad. We can find too a selected table wines in this
winery.

LISBON - OBIDOS - BOMBARRAL - LISBON
- 09:00AM: Your private
chauffeur-guide will pick you up from your
hotel, the airport or cruise port in Lisbon
- Departure from Lisbon
- Follow up to Óbidos passing by many small
villages
- Visit the historic heritage of Óbidos,
covering the different monuments and places
of the town: Town Gate, St. Mary's Square,
St. Mary's Church, Almshouse Church, St.
Peter's Church, Main Street, Castle, Jogo da
Bola, among others.
