On this private chauffeur driven tour you will exploring the Douro Valley, Porto and Northern Portugal. The journey through Port wine country is one of the most pleasant travel experiences in Southern Europe, passing by many of the famous vineyards along the way.
Porto is as much a cosmopolitan centre as it is a city steeped in the historical events of the past. Magnificently situated on the great gorge of the River Douro, which spills into the Atlantic after its scenic 927 km journey from Spain, the 'granite city' is best known for its striking
 bridges and the much-celebrated Port wine, which is stored and savoured by wine lovers all over the world.
Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in December 1996, the ancient Ribeira riverside district is a warren of narrow, twisting streets and shadowy arches.

DAY 1:
LISBON - COIMBRA - PINHAO
- 09:30AM approx.: In
the morning an English-Speaking
Private VIP Chauffeur will pick
you up from your Cruise Ship,
Hotel or Airport in Lisbon
- Transfer by the highway to
Coimbra (02h00 drive approx.)
- 11:30AM: Coimbra´s
Old Quarter and University
Walking Tour (Duration: 01h30)
- Upon arrival to Coimbra meet
up with a private local guide
where you will take a walk
around the Old town and visit
the Universidade Velha (Old
University).
- 01:00PM: Continue to
Quinta das Larigmas where we
have reserved a table for your
lunch* at their fabulous
restaurant
- In the Afternoon your
chauffeur will take you to
Pinhão, in the heart of the
Douro wine region (0 2h00 drive
approx.)
- 05:00PM-05:30PM:
Check-in your hotel
- Before dinner in the hotel you
will enjoy....
- 07:00PM: Port
Experience - Wine Tasting
(Duration: 01h30)
- When you arrive just confirm
at the reception the time of the
tasting.
- The Library Bar and the Lodge
are the ideal locations for a
wine tasting.
- Experience the different types
of Port, understand its history,
the years in oak, the importance
of temperature, pairing wine
with food and learn to use the
right glass.

- Begin the day with a
panoramic drive around the Douro
valley
- Then Visit the Solar de Mateus
- Continue to Vila Real . Here
you could take a short walk
around the Old town and visit
the Ethnographic museum,
cathedral and castle
- Free time for lunch on your
own
- Visit Amarante, Church of São
Gonçalo Monastery
- Then a possible visit to a
Port wine Farm in the area.
- Drop off back at
your hotel
- Dinner on your own
- Overnight in Pinhão

PINHAO - PORTO

- Driving along the Douro River
banks reaching to Porto
- Arrival to Porto
- Check-in your hotel
- 12:30PM: We have
reserved you a table for Lunch
in the fabulous restaurant
Barao de Fladgate located
within
Taylor´s wine lodge and with
view of Porto over the other
side of the River Douro.
- 01:30PM: After Lunch
you will have a VIP tour and
tasting at Taylor´s including 3
different port wines (Dry White
Port, 30 Years Port and Reserve
Port)
- Then be taken to
Croft for another VIP tour
and tasting including 4
different port wines (Sweet
White Port, 20 Years Port,
Reserve Port and Vintage 87
Port)
- Historic Porto´s Monumental
Tour

- Your Private Official
Specialist Guide will meet you
at the main entrance in front
the the Security office of
Taylor´s after the winery tour.
- Enjoy a visit to the main
sites of Porto: Palácio da Bolsa,
Sé Cathedral and Church of São
Francisco
- Then tour will end back at
your hotel
- Dinner on your own, you could
try one of the restaurant close
by on the Ribeira old quarter.

PORTO - GUIMARAES -
BOM JESUS DO MONTE - BRAGA -
PORTO
- Breakfast
- 09:00AM: Your

Chauffeur will meet you in the
lobby of the hotel this morning
- Depart Porto driving by
highway to Guimaraes
- 10:30AM: Guimaraes old
quarter and monumental tour
(Duration: 03h00)
- Meet a Private Official Local
Guide upon arrival to Guimaraes
- Starting off with a city tour
and the Historic centre.
- Then visit the Santuario de
Penha, with a Cable car ride to
the top
- After this you will visit
Martins Sarmento Museum
- Then as well Castle of
Guimaraes and Paço dos Duques de
Bragança
- Continuing on driving making a
stop to visit on your own the
Sanctuary Bom Jesus do Monte
just outside of the Braga City
- In Braga you will have free
time for lunch on your own and
to visit the Cathedral (Sé) &
old quarter of the city
- Return to Porto
- Then tour will end back at
your hotel
