directly into an Andalusian kitchen. Join us for a week in Granada, the last
Muslim Kingdom in Spain, and learn about the Arabic legacy still present in the
succulent cuisine of this beautiful Eastern Andalusian region.
Beginning with Granada and its spectacular Alhambra palace, our route will take
you through a land of contrasts, where the warm Mediterranean waters bathe the
foot of the highest mountain range in mainland Spain.
Spanish cuisine owes a large part of its riches to the Arabs. Although many
cultural achievements from that period were forgotten when the Christians
recaptured Spain, the art of making sweet has remained. You will learn how to
prepare some of the most exquisite recipes coming from Al-Andalous times.
You will make an unforgettable excursion to Las Alpujarras along the winding
roads amidst a landscape of incredible beauty. The Lecrin Valley, a magical land
where time seems to have ceased, among becks and rivulets, olive groves and
orange trees. White villages dot the landscape, treasuring its customs,
traditions and gastronomy.
A blend of hands-on class experiences and culinary and cultural visits which
will allow you to learn all about the regional recipes while discovering a
millenary culture.
