A beautiful oasis of golf, beach and exquisite cuisine, offering the ideal
holiday destination for relaxation, leisure and golf. The golf courses became a
favorite destination for golf enthusiasts, enjoying the wonderful Marbella
climate, lifestyle and the spectacular views of Costa del Sol, Gibraltar and
North Africa. Inaugurated in 1959, Golf Hotel Guadalmina was the original
private golf club of the second oldest golf course, Guadalmina Sur, in the world
renowned "Costa del Golf" and the prestigious Guadalmina urbanization.
Completely renovated and refurbished in February 2002, this resort now offers
179 luxurious rooms all decorated in typical Andalusia style decor, in addition
to two Mediterranean restaurants, a piano bar, a private beach and club, two
salt water pools, and ample conference facilities to meet all holiday or
business needs. As the film directors, who chose Golf Hotel Guadalmina as the
venue to film "A Touch of Class" by Oscar winner Glenda Jackson, believed, this
hotel is an unforgettable discovery. Famous actors, actresses, artists and
politicians, together with a loyal and regular clientele, have visited the hotel
over the years seeking the relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere of Golf Hotel

DAY 1:
MALAGA - MARBELLA

Spend these days relaxing or sporting
in Marbella, which is an excellent place for
roller-blading, tennis, swimming etc
Or add-on a local sightseeing excursion (see
ADD-ONs)
- Golf Hotel Guadalmina is a golf lover`s
paradise. Engulfed by three of the top golf
courses in the Costa del Golf, guests can
start to play their favourite sport from the
doorstep of the hotel, whilst overlooking
the Mediterranean sea and embarking on a
journey through beautiful fairways. There
are two golf courses of 18 holes, Guadalmina
Sur and Guadalmina Norte, and one course of
9 holes, Par 3, Campo Corto. Guadalmina Sur
Golf Course (We are renovating the South
Course; it will be closed until October
2002. We apologize for the inconvenience!)
Guadalmina Sur, the first 18 of Guadalmina´s
45 holes, was opened in 1959 and is the
second oldest golf course on the Coast.
Guests of the hotel can especially tee off
right outside the hotel, starting on the
10th and 11th holes of Guadalmina Sur.
Continuing onto the 12th hole where a good
straight drive is required in order to avoid
the private gardens. From the tee at the
14th, guests must carefully place the ball
between two stands of tall pine trees and
nearer the green is a hungry bunker waiting
to catch anything that falls short. This
course calls for stamina, for the 16th and
17th are both far fives.

environment in which they can take a break
and simply turn off
