		On this scheduled coach excursion from Madrid you will be taken on a guided visit of Toledo and El Escorial TOLEDO: The city of Toledo holds a collection of one of the most genuinely Spanish monuments as well as a rich artistic and architectural heritage with buildings of practically all periods of Spain´s history ranging from the Gothic to the Baroque. This World Heritage Site remains as Spain´s religious capital and is considered the city of the three cultures i.e. Christian, Moslem and Jewish. ESCORIAL: The Royal Monastery of El Escorial is an imposing 16th Century building. Phillip II ordered its construction and its main architect was Juan Herrera to whom it owed most of its design and building. Many of the best artisans of that period also took part in the process. The Monastery also houses the Mausoleum of the Spanish Monarchs, and it is considered as one of the Eight Wonders of the World.
