DAY 1:
MADRID AIRPORT - MADRID
- Arrival to Madrid, Barajas Airport
- Take a taxi to your hotel in the centre of

- Relax today and walk around the city as
you please (NOTE: Or you could even
take an evening tapa tour of the city, see

DAY 2 :

- Visit on your own the important sites eg: PLAZA MAYOR, PUERTA
DEL SOL etc (NOTE: Or you could take a scheduled group

- Lunch & Dinner on your own
- Overnight in Madrid

MADRID
- Breakfast
- Spend the day visiting sights you didn't see the days before
and shop the streets (NOTE: Or you could even take an
excursion to Toledo, Avila/Segovia, etc...

- Overnight in Madrid

MADRID (Fly) - BARCELONA
- Breakfast
- Take a taxi to Madrid, Barajas Airport (NOTE: We can

- Upon arrival to Barcelona, Prat Airport take a taxi to your hotel in the

BARCELONA - SAN SADURNI DE NOYA - BARCELONA
- Breakfast
- 09:30-10:00AM:Pick up your Car Rental in the morning
from the Europcar city centre office
- Take a morning trip on your own to visit the Cava Winery of
Cordorniu located outside of
Barcelona in San Sadurni de Noya. (NOTE: Or you could

- Return to Barcelona
- Explore Barcelona the rest of the day on your own
- Lunch & Dinner on your own
- Overnight in Barcelona

- Drive to ZARAGOZA visit the PLAZA MAYOR & CATHEDRAL (NOTE:

- Continue on to SANTO DOMINGO DE LA CALZADA in the LA RIOJA
wine region
- Check into the Parador
- Visit on your own Santo Domingo de la Calzada, a famous village on the
Pilgrimage Route with a 13th century cathedral
- Lunch & Dinner on your own
- Overnight in Santo Domingo de la Calzada

DAY 8:
SANTO DOMINGO CALZADA - HARO - (DRIVE AROUND LA RIOJA WINE
COUNTRY) - SANTO
DOMINGO DE LA CALZADA
- Breakfast
- Drive to HARO, wine capital of La Rioja, visit on your own the town
& one of the many wineries (NOTE: Or you could take a
private walking wine and tapa tour with an
expert wine guide in Haro see our Addons
section for prices)
- Take a driving tour on your own around La Rioja wine region
visit wine towns eg: LAGUIARDIA, ELCIEGO, etc..
- On you way back to Santo Domingo de la Calzada stop in SAN
MILLAN DE LA COGOLLA
- Visit the Human Heritage monasteries of SUSO (X century) and
YUSO (XI century), birthplace of Castilian language
- Lunch & Dinner on your own
- Overnight in Santo Domingo de la Calzada

SANTO DOMINGO DE LA CALZADA - BURGOS - SANTILLANA DEL MAR
- Breakfast

- Continue to SANTILLANA DEL MAR on the Cantabrian coast
- Check in Parador
- Explore this noble village

SANTILLA DEL MAR - PICOS DE EUROPA or COSTAL BEACH TOWNS -
SANTILLANA DEL MAR
- Breakfast
- Drive around the PICOS DE EUROPA visiting towns and sites like: ALTAMIRA
CAVE, FUENTE DE, COVADONGA etc..
- Or visit the costal beach towns like: COMILLAS, SANTANDER
etc..
- Lunch & Dinner on your own
- Overnight in Santillana del Mar

DAY 11:
SANTILLANA DEL MAR - BILBAO - SAN SEBASTIAN
- Breakfast
- Drive to BILBAO visit the GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM & OLD QUARTER (NOTE:

- Lunch on your own
- Then after visiting Bilbao drive on to San
Sebasitan.
- In the evening you could try tapas on your
own in the old quarter or book a table at

- Overnight in San Sebastian

SAN SEBASTIAN - EXPLORE THE BASQUE COAST -
SAN SEBASTIAN
- Breakfast
- Spend the day on the beach LA CONCHA, exploring the city or as
well the coastal towns like Hondarribia,
etc.. (NOTE: Or you could take a

- Lunch & Dinner on your own
- Overnight in San Sebastian

SAN SEBASTIAN - PAMPLONA (OPTIONAL STOP) -
MADRID
- Breakfast
- On your way down to madrid by highway you could make a detour
to visit PAMPLONA city
- Leave Pamplona when desired, drive by
highway down to Madrid
- Upon Arrival to Madrid drop car rental at the Europcar office
in the Atocha train Station
- Last minute shopping & sightseeing
- Lunch & Dinner on your own
- Overnight in Madrid

MADRID - MADRID AIRPORT
